ACIP recomienda que todos los adultos mayores de 65 a\u00f1os reciban 1 dosis de PPSV23. Se recomienda una dosis \u00fanica de PPSV23 para uso rutinario entre todos los adultos mayores de 65 a\u00f1os. PPSV23 contiene 12 serotipos para los cuales no hay efectos indirectos por el uso de PCV13 en ni\u00f1os. Los 11 serotipos adicionales representan del 32 % al 37 % de la ENI entre adultos mayores de 65 a\u00f1os. Los adultos mayores de 65 a\u00f1os que recibieron \u22651 dosis de PPSV23 antes de los 65 a\u00f1os deben recibir 1 dosis adicional de PPSV23 a la edad de >= 65 a\u00f1os, al menos 5 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de la dosis anterior de PPSV23.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n

Las marcas mencionadas son marcas comerciales de sus respectivos propietarios. aExcluyendo aquellos con fuga de LCR o implante coclear. Para pacientes adultos inmunocompetentes de \u226565 a\u00f1os con fuga de LCR o implante coclear, los CDC recomiendan una dosis de rutina de PCV13= (si no la recibieron previamente) seguida al menos 8 semanas despu\u00e9s de una dosis de rutina de PNEUMOVAX 23. bPNEUMOVAX\u00ae23 y PCV13no deben administrarse conjuntamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
